Abbie Campbell Riley made her transition from this life on July 27, 2021 in Greenwood, Mississippi.  She was born May 7, 1921 on the Dockery Plantation in Sunflower County, Mississippi and lived to be 100 years old!  She was the oldest daughter of Alice Staples & Henry Campbell. 

 

Ms. Abbie had a total of ten brothers and sisters.  Her parents and siblings all proceeded her in death.   She was the last grandchild of William & Abigail Staples to pass away so there are no remaining 3rd Generation living descendants.

 

Ms. Abbie was a member of McKinney Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS where she served in many ways over the years including singing in the choir and being an usher. She loved attending Sunday School & Church. 

 

Ms. Abbie’s spirit and strong faith were infectious to all those who came in touch with her and she will certainly be missed, but it is comforting to know that she will now be with the Lord.  May she rest in peace.
